BIO:
SYSTAIME, A.K.A. Michaël Borras (1973, France) is the founder of the movement French Trash Touch, he is an important actor of the international alternative artistic network, the digital art and the art in network.

Beside focusing on his own artworks, he works on numerous international artistic events as producer, organizer, speaker, art curator .

He regularly performs many works online, videos, re-mix, mash up, sounds, blogs, gifs, clips and hijacks social networks. He also produces art objects, books, DVDs, CDs, as well as audio/video installations and performances.

In 2011, he is the inspirator and the founder of the Spamm, the Museum of the Super Modern Arts. Systaime works in the flow of the internet. It explores the flaws in emerging digital cultures in a didactic way, and develops themes that illustrate the aesthetics of "glitch" and "bug".
Systaime sinks into the streams, divert them and sends them drifting, infesting all the platforms, pushing the boundaries of this object that is placed in our hands.

The exhibition present itself as a single installation divided in several rooms—a staged destruction of sorts. What would an actual "cyber apocalypse" look like? The installation represents the ruins of an houseIn the year 2888: a cyber-armageddon just happened. The last resistance pocket had to runaway, leaving us with a few traces to interpret: exploded rooms, a chaos of furnitures and materials, and a lots of text on the wall, resambling protest banners and political statement about the digital culture, of fear and hope, of lust and simplicity.

In this future world, the internet has gone from an information-sharing instrument to a semi-divine entity that controls all aspects of our daily life, capitalizing on access to individual and collective memory. It creates a fatal axis comprised of information> memory> access> capital> access> memory> information.

By becoming a divinity on its own merit (to be read: through human programmatic dissemination) the

digital / internet reaches a state of omnipresence. Omnipresence, that is directly controlled not by the gods of the Olympus, but by companies and their corporative panels. The sanctification of the God Internet is happening and there is no more possibility to fight it. Every human failureis are registered automaticly and can be capitalized by these corporate analog monsters against any resistance that are digitalized and propagated.

This is Systaime’s version of a post-apocalyptic capitalist world. But the space feels almost utopian: a beautifully staged ruin made from the rubble of a consumerist society. He speaks about the willingness of loving and of being loved, of producing richness in and for the system, of commercializing the desire, about “loving the system”” -"Système" and "Aime" – in order to circumvent, divert or subvert it.
