Xavier Almeida (1980 Ovar) lives and works in Lisbon. Not opting for an academic art education (and after a Master Degree in Architecture), Xavier decides to be an artist assistant: first in the Atelier Van Lieshout (Rotterdam, 2009) and later with Fernanda Fragateiro (Lisbon, 2010- 2015). Develops projects since 2008 in several areas, especially in drawing, cartoons, installation and interaction. The most common themes through his artistic research are balancing between comedy and absurdity.
