MARIA PEÑA COTO is a young promising artist born in Oviedo, Spain. She started her studies of Fine Arts at Complutense University of Madrid, and completed her training between the University of Art and Communication of São Paulo, and the University of Arts in London, with the support of various international grants. Her work has a strong social content, which is the main fuel of her art. She has lived, traveled and exhibited her work in different Countries around the world, including Brazil, Usa, England, Austria and Indonesia.
The deep connection she develops with the people feeds her creativity and through this personal process she is able to transmit intense human emotions from real life to the canvas. She is now developing an artistic project to happen in Haiti, closed to the local community and institutions.
