ALEXANDRE ORIANO
ALEXANDRE ORIANO Dias Rendeiro was born in 1988 in Newark in the US state of New Jersey, but hisschool and academic education is Portuguese: a degree in Multimedia Art – Audiovisual at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon and a MA in Aesthetic Philosophy from the School of Socias and Human Sciences, at Universidade Nova. In music, he created the Alek Rein project, which explores the concept of heteronomy. At the same he built a dynamic relationship with the Galeria Zé dos Bois, where he participated in residencies and exhibitions. If we willing to define a theme that crosses all his artistic practices, that arises from the question about the relationship between art and politics. That is because science has often the totalizer arrogance of capturing and mapping the total, meanwhile art and the poetic discourse escape its representative grid and allow the creation of new meanings and values.
