RITA DRAPER FRAZÃO

RITA DRAPER FRAZÃO (1984, Lisbon) lives and works in Lisbon, where he studied Communication Design (2008 Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa). She published works in magazines such as Revista Sábado, Grande Reportagem, jazz.pt (where she is cooperating so far) and Revista Bíblia. In 2011 she founded the blog Inner Tour, which regularly publishes drawings and texts on Arts, People and Travel. She participated in the artist residencies X JAZZ with Evan Parker and Projecto Lamparina. She was co-curator of Conversas (2012-13). She made several group and solo exhibitions in Portugal and Austria. She portrayed live many musicians, such as Bobby Hutcherson, Erland Øye, Nástio Mosquito, Bernardo Sassetti, Otomo Yoshihide, Toumani Diabaté, Irmãos Catita, John Zorn, Dead J, Luiz Melodia, Tindersticks, Alex Deutsch, Seun Kuti, among others. She was the protagonist of the short film In Bloom (2013) by Panx Solajes and participate in the performance End Game (2012) by Mel O'Callaghan and in the show Homem Feito by Andresa Soares, Ligia Soares and John Lucas (2010). Between 1998-2004, she collaborated in the production of shows, working with artists such as Carlos Bica & Blue Trio, Jorge Palma, CEM, Spill with Marta Hugon and Kalaf, Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi, Matt Wilson, Andrew D'Angelo and others.
