“Don’t be afraid of the clocks, they are our time, time as been so generous to us. We imprinted time with the sweet taste of victory. We conquered fate by meeting at a certain TIME in a certain space. We are a product of the time; therefore, we give back credit were it is due: time.
We are synchronized, now and forever.
I love you.”
Taking as its starting point the letter written by Félix González-Torres to Ross in 1988, “Lovers” brings together a series of works that refer to different kind of affection or even intimate contexts, serving mainly as metaphors for a universal and sometimes misunderstood concept: love.
Curated by the artists Fábio Colaço and Bárbara Bulhão, the exhibition explores some of the infinite variations of the feeling of love: duality and interdependence, falling in love and relationship, poetry and erotism.
