Inspired by the exhibition "Le Boeuf Écorché" by artist Nádia Duvall, we invite our younger audience to an exercise in reinterpreting the work of the "guardian-sorceress," as the artist calls herself for this exhibition.

Each participant will choose a body part – a wide-awake eye, a dancing foot, a noisy stomach, a passionate heart – to create drawings and three-dimensional constructions out of paper, using many colors and textures.

In the end, the aim is to join all the shapes together to create a collective body that is strange, yet symbolic and powerful, as each participant will "offer" a piece of themselves to someone they care about.

Biography: ANA SALOMÉ PAIVA is a visual artist and a resident at the Goela Association. She is interested in poetry and drawing, exploring their diverse manifestations and their relationship with her body, both as a medium and as a political body. Her work over the past few years has focused on a poetic exploration of the female body, taking the form of notebooks, fanzines, self-published books, and prints. The artist's latest self-published books are related to erotic poetry and maternity. She has been exhibiting in alternative and independent spaces since 2008. She is involved in art education projects in various locations across Lisbon. She was a guest artist for the project Descola - Escola Nómada (Nomad School) at the Eb2/3 Alta do Lumiar school, leading the visual arts activity "My Imaginary Neighbourhood" in a classroom setting. She has taught Visual Arts in classrooms at Eb1 St. Maria Maior and in the Bairro Bensaúde, as part of the projects: “Bensaúde Vai à Escola”, “Bensaúde é vida”, and “Bairros Que Contam,” supported by the Bip-Zip Program for Priority Intervention Neighbourhoods. She is the creator of the "Desenhos inconstantes" (Inconstant Drawings) visual arts workshop project, through which she develops projects for children, youth, and seniors in various spaces, including the Goela Association, the Penha de França and Marvila libraries, and the Sines Arts Center. She also leads printmaking sessions on alternative processes.
