Inspired by the sound installation As árvores também batem palmas (“The trees also clap hands"), we invite the youngest ones to a sound and artistic experience led by Ana Salomé Paiva in collaboration with João Mouro, the author of the installation.
The session will begin with a blind drawing exercise, which consists of drawing while listening to music, with eyes closed, exploring the connection between hearing and movement, allowing the music to guide the hand intuitively and spontaneously. The objective is to express the sensations, emotions, rhythms and textures of the music through lines, shapes and colors on paper, without the interference of sight.
In a second moment, participants will transform their drawings into pieces of a large collective collage. This visual "score", created together, will serve as inspiration for an improvised concert by João Mouro, reserved for the young participants and their families.
