ARTIST TALKS is a series of conversations that offer the community a chance to meet the artists-in-residence at Zaratan and to gain insight into the creative process.
LUCIJA KLARIC propose a little personal and professional view on practicing text-based art and believing in stories in the post-narrative world. Also, bits and bobs about using humor as a tool for getting into deep existential questions, participation and interaction, and how to manage "having fun" and playing as a career path (and is it even possible? *disclaimer: don't expect to have this question answered).
PATRYCJA MAKSYLEWICZ will be discussing her project DECH, a generative and research work in the field of computational creativity. While in residency at Zaratan she has been organizing a new series of individual sessions where she used electronic records of breathing data of participants to create plotter-made drawings. The artist will introduce the tools from the field of generative art used for the production of the project DECH, including: algorithmic image creation, data analysis and robotics.
The conversation will be held in English; participants are invited to engage and ask questions.
