Sound and Chaos: The Story of BC Studio

Associação Terapêutica do Ruído, SALÓN FUZZ and Zaratan - Arte Contemporânea present the projection of the documentary "Sound and Chaos: The Story of BC Studio" and the following concert of Martin Bisi & band (us) in Lounge (Rua da Moeda, 1 - Lisbon | free entry / 22h30) .
For over 30 years, 
Martin Bisi has recorded music from his BC studio in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood, recording the music of artists such as Sonic Youth, Swans, John Zorn, Material, Helmet, Unsane, Cop Shoot Cop, Boredoms, Foetus ou Afrika Bambaataa, among others. After a chance New York encounter, the studio was founded with money from Brian Eno, who subsequently worked on the album On Land there. Martin Bisiwill be present at Zaratan to introduce the documentary "Sound and Chaos: The Story of BC Studio", directed by Ryan C. Douglass and Sara Leavitt, which includes interviews with musicians such as Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Michael Gira (Swans), Bill Laswell (Material), JG Thirlwell (Foetus) and mant others. Beside being a producer, Martin Bisi is also a musician and will be playing on the same day with his band at Lounge, as special guest at Salón Fuzz.
