MARTA ALVIM
MARTA ALVIM is an artist and filmmaker. Her works are formal investigations on Man and modern day society. Through the use of photography, installation and experimental cinematic narratives, she explores the convergences between Cinema and Contemporary Art. Critical in their purpose and with a particular focus on the spiritual, political and social aspects of the human condition, her works questions our concepts of consciousness, time and reality, often addressing ecology and metaphysics through ideas of passage, subjectivity and immateriality. Since 2007 her works have been shown in museums, galleries, art centers and film festivals in various countries.
