On June 27th, we celebrate the closing of the collective exhibition ?MÃE?, curated by João Viotti and Aurora Nunes. The exhibition explores the "Mother-Concept" through an intergenerational dialogue, bringing together artists and their mothers. Through multiple formats, the boundaries between biological creation and artistic creation are blurred. It includes works by the artists: Aurora Nunes, Isabel Mendes Ferreira, João Alves, João Viotti, Leta Xavia, Sofia Andrade, and Xavier Xavier.

The main highlight of this finissage afternoon will be the closing performative activation: “30 Anos de Alca”, by Sofia Andrade (18:00). Thirty years after her participation in the show Todos ao Palco, Sofia Andrade challenges herself in the reinterpretation of her long-forgotten monologue, giving a new and mature voice to the enigmatic and scatological story of creation.

BIOGRAPHY | SOFIA ANDRADE (Lisbon, 1975). Attended the degree in Communication Design at FBAUL. Parallel to the visual arts, she developed a path in the performative arts, joining the theater group Ditirambus and participating in contemporary dance projects at C.E.M. She worked as an actress for Animateatro, promoting cultural animation in several museums across Lisbon. Currently, she maintains her dance practice and explores various technical approaches in the visual arts.
