Dinis Lapa and Nuno Palma—those two gentlemen of the word—strike lightning into the air, and suddenly a divine, highly selective whim pierces them with the names of Portugal’s most sexão [sexy/big session] poets. A list that would make original sins blush. All of them are, in one way or another, linked to music. Of course. They are nothing but a bunch of prima-donna super-divas. Him or her, naturally. Prima-donas. Primo-donos. Gender is the least of it when talent is the most of it.
Sexões are, therefore, sessions of sung sex with super-diva sexão poets. It is art rolling around in the bed of language. It is the verb working up a sweat. It is the rhyme begging for more. The banquet is served. Now, eat. Delight yourselves. But with class, darlings. With class.
Teresa Machado and Agora é Que Elas Acontecem bring us Silêncio Branco, white as the waiting page. Like the pause that sustains the chord. The instant before a verse remembers itself. And it will be then that they happen: the words, the mouths, the colors, when body rhymes with word.

About the artists:
TERESA MACHADO | Born in 1990 in Figueira da Foz. She graduated from ESTC in 2011 and completed a Master's degree in Performing Arts at the same institution in 2023. She made her professional debut at the CITEMOR festival, in a production directed by Carlos J. Pessoa. She has worked professionally with Teatro da Garagem, António Mortágua, and Nuno Nolasco. In 2019, she participated in the performances: Tristana o Nome que nunca tive by Bárbara Bruno, A Mulher que viveu apenas uma vez by Margarida Correia, and the show O Nome Que Tinha: Perdi – o! by Marco Lima. From 2015 to the present, she has worked continuously with Tiago Vieira, featuring as a performer in approximately 50 of the director's creations. Since 2023, she has been part of the collective of artists at the Latoaria space in Lisbon. In 2024, at the invitation of ACERT, she presented her first solo creation at the FINTA festival in Tondela. In 2025, she won the Ullysses literary prize with her work Silêncio Branco. Additionally, she has been working as a teacher in public schools since 2012, taking part in various artistic projects within and for the school community.
