We present the seventh session of the INTERFERÊNCIAS concert cycle, curated by Boris Nunes and João Madeira. This unique duo draws from distinct universes to create a space for dialogue between aesthetics, genres, and generations.
In each session, their choices converge on the same stage, bringing together musicians with established careers alongside younger artists of evident artistic maturity. Alongside this age diversity, the cycle explores a wide sonic spectrum, with proposals ranging from jazz and free jazz to electronic, performative, and avant-garde experimentation.
Featuring formats from solo to quartet and including both national and international musicians, INTERFERÊNCIAS is an attempt to map contemporary sound from its margins, creating meeting points between audiences, languages, and sensibilities.

In this seventh session of the cycle, Montes—the project of Arianna Casellas and Kauê Gindri—turns the mountain into a metaphor for overcoming noise, while Ravenna Escaleira presents an exclusive solo on tenor sax.
About the Artists:
MONTES | Hailing from different parts of South America, Arianna Casellas and Kauê Gindri met long ago in Porto, but it was in 2020 that they joined forces as a duo. They live and play together on the 6th floor of a building in the center of the "Invicta" (Porto), where the debut album of Montes was born. The view of the mountains on the horizon gave the project its name—a metaphor for a place one seeks, moving through impurities and road noise to reach peace. Much like the project itself, their debut album, Vozes Antenas Fragas, conveys a sense of movement and a persistent duality: chaos and calm, interior and exterior, far and near, confusion and song. | https://montesmontes.bandcamp.com/album/vozes-antenas-fragas
RAVENNA ESCALEIRA | An artist originally from Porto and now based in Lisbon—after periods in Brazil, Spain, and Italy—Ravenna Escaleira’s music reflects a process of self-discovery. She debuted at OUT.FEST with a body of work spanning music, poetry, and visual arts. Having explored electronics in a raw and direct way under the pseudonym RVN (ranging from harsh noise to ambient textures), she has spent recent years developing a saxophone language on the streets of various cities. This is a "lived-in" experience, played with an expressive lyricism close to the most aching ballad and shaped by the acoustic space it inhabits. With an atypical background marked by punk and a decisive influence from Albert Ayler, Ravenna moved from electronic music to the paths of experimental and improvised music. A nomadic journey that took her from playing saxophone on the streets of Bologna and Rome to performing illegal concerts in Porto basements has finally brought her to Lisbon. In recent years, she has asserted herself in the Portuguese scene and recently released the album Vagabondage through the renowned New York label Relative Pitch. She describes her music as "a raw, honest, and intense sound." | https://ravennaescaleira.bandcamp.com/
